Every
country in the world except Somalia and the United States of America
have agreed that all children should have the rights listed in
the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Governments are
responsible for making sure that children’s rights are protected.
The UNCRC shows the standard that governments should meet in protecting
children’s rights. Some articles in the UNCRC are already
part of the law of the land. The government has responsibility
for improving the law to make life better for children.
